Day 01 Arrival at Amritsar
Meals

Arrival at Amritsar. Check in at the hotel. Then visit Golden Temple in Evening. Overnight stay at Hotel.

Golden Temple: Amritsar was built around the Golden Temple and the Amrit Sarovar lake, from which it derives its name. The temple complex is surrounded by a fortified wall with eighteen gates. The main north entrance is under a Victorian clock tower. Known as the DarshaniDeori, the entrance is up a flight of steps and down again to the temple and holy tank.The Golden Temple sits on a rectangular platform in the center of the Amrit Sarovar. It is surrounded by a white marble corridor, which is encircled by pilgrims visiting the shrine. A narrow causeway links the Harmandir, or Darbar Sahib as the temple is also called. The entrance to the temple is through an ornate archway with intricate inlay work. Verses from the Granth Sahib are inscribed on the doorway.

DAY 02 Wagah Border and Local Sightseeing

After breakfast will proceed for local sightseeing of Amritsar. Overnight Stay at Hotel

JallianwalaBagh: Jallianwala Bagh is situated just a five minutes’ walk from Golden Temple. It is the place where the British General Dyer, massacred 300 innocent people who had gathered there for a meeting in 1919. The tragic even later led to the strengthening of the movement for total independence. The walls are pockmarked with bullets and the well which some tried to hide it can be seen. JallianwalaBagh is a sprawling memory of the great tragedy, which evokes the patriotic spirit in every Indian.

Waga Border: The 1947 partition of India and Pakistan led to the marking of a long white line that defines the Wagah Border between the two neighbors, separated by two heavy gates about 2 meters apart on either side. Located at a distance of 28km from the city of Amritsar, the Wagah Border is the only open border crossing India and Pakistan and which is officially accessible by both the nations. The Wagah Border post remains open daily from 10:00 am till the flag down ceremony in the evening. For the Wagah Border ceremony, it is advisable to arrive well before sunset to grab a proper seat in the open air theatre.

Depending upon the time of sunset, the flag down ceremony normally starts around 4:30 pm in winters and 5:30 pm in summers.

DAY 03 Departure from Amritsar
Meals

After breakfast checkout from hotel and transfer to Railway station/ Airport drop. Tour ends with Sweet memories
